Jackson
County Water Company is a private, not-for-profit corporation supplying safe drinking
water to the residents of rural Jackson
County Water was chartered in 1970 and has grown to approximately 800 miles
of water line, eighteen water storage tanks throughout the county, and 15
employees. The
new Jackson
County Water realized a ten-year long-range plan in 2005 with the completion
of Phase 7, which included the construction of a new water treatment plant, development
of a wellfield and major waterline improvements. (see Updates) Jackson
County Water Company is governed by a Board of nine trustees. Members of the
Board of Trustees are: Ken Taylor, President Henry Smith, Vice-President Robert
Willis, Treasurer Dick

Lemaster Jackson
County Water is a member of the American Water Works Association, Ohio Rural
Water, and the National Rural Water Association.
